Solar Electrician
Simple Solar is hiring a self-employed electrician to support a busy pipeline of domestic solar PV installs across Devon and Cornwall. You’ll handle electrical install and commissioning, testing and certification, inverters and meters, and battery storage, keeping every job compliant with NICEIC/NAPIT standards. You’ll need NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition, your own NICEIC or NAPIT registration, a solar PV qualification, and your own van/tools, plus solid digital skills for reporting and certification. Simple Solar is growing fast—and we’re looking to partner with a dependable, experienced roofing team (2–3 people) to support our solar panel installations across Devon and Cornwall.

Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for:
Installing roof-mounted solar panel systems on domestic properties
Mounting rails, flashing, tile removal and replacement
Ensuring safe, high-quality finishes in line with installation plans
Collaborating with our electricians and surveyors onsite
Requirements
Proven roofing experience (pitched roofs essential; flat roofing a bonus)
Experience with solar PV installations is essential
Own transport and tools (vehicle must accommodate rails and kit)
Reliable, professional team of 2–3 tradespeople
Based in or willing to travel throughout Devon & Cornwall
