WESTERN BARN, WEMBURY
An in-roof solar and battery installation designed to support a barn renovation, improve energy efficiency and reduce reliance on the grid.
The brief
The owner of Western Barn needed to meet renovation requirements while reducing dependency on grid electricity. They wanted a system that would support the upgraded property, improve efficiency and help create a more sustainable long-term energy setup.
We installed a 12-panel, 4.86kW in-roof solar PV system with 5.8kWh of battery storage, giving the property a clean integrated finish and the ability to store generated energy for later use.
The result
The finished system is expected to generate around 4,924kWh per year, helping the renovated property stay energy-efficient while reducing the amount of electricity drawn from the grid.
With a payback period of 5 years and 10 months, Western Barn is set up for long-term savings and a more sustainable future.
Why it works
- In-roof solar supports the renovation with a clean, integrated appearance.
- Battery storage helps the property use more of its own generated electricity.
- The system reduces grid reliance while supporting long-term energy efficiency.
