How much does it cost and what affects price?
Cost depends on system size and whether you’re adding a battery. Your quote will show expected savings, SEG export income, and an estimated payback tailored to your usage. As a rough guide, a typical 4–5 kWp system for a 3-bedroom home costs approximately £5,000 to £5,500, including installation. Adding a 6 kWh battery adds roughly £1,300 to £1,500. VAT is charged at 0% on residential installations.
Will solar work on my roof?
Most homes are. We check roof direction and condition, shade, and available space. If solar isn’t a good fit, we’ll tell you honestly.
How disruptive is installation?
Most installs are quick and cause minimal disruption. We normally need access to the roof outside and a small amount of time inside to set up the inverter, cabling, and the battery if you have one. We protect work areas, keep things tidy, and we’ll walk you through exactly what’s happening before we start.
How long does installation take, and how soon can you fit me in?
Installation typically takes 1–3 days, depending on system size and complexity. We’ll confirm timings before you commit. We can usually fit you in within 3–6 weeks.
Do you offer finance or ways to spread the cost?
Yes — finance is available, so if you’d prefer to spread the cost, just ask and we’ll talk you through the options. We’ll keep it simple and show you the figures clearly alongside your quote.
What warranties do I get?
You’ll have warranties on the key parts of the system, plus workmanship cover. Panels typically come with a long product warranty and a performance warranty. Inverters and batteries have their own manufacturer warranties, and your installation is also covered by our workmanship guarantee. We’ll confirm the exact warranty lengths in your quote based on the kit we recommend.
What happens if something goes wrong after installation?
If there’s a problem, you contact us and we’ll help diagnose and sort it. If it’s an installation issue, we fix it under our workmanship guarantee. If it’s a product fault, it’s covered under the manufacturer warranty, and we handle the warranty process for you.
