Battery storage retrofits are now available (even if you already have solar)

If you’ve already got solar panels (or you’re moving into a home that has them), you don’t need to start again to get the “day + night” benefits. We’re now offering battery-only installs (retrofits) across Devon & Cornwall, so you can store your surplus solar and use it later when electricity is most expensive.

New year, new cap — and higher bills. Want more control in 2026? ☀️

What’s new?

You can now add a battery to:

  • Existing solar systems (installed by us or another installer)

  • Homes with no battery-ready setup (we’ll advise what needs changing, if anything)

  • Solar + EV homes where you want to charge smarter and reduce grid use

Why it matters (in plain English)

Without a battery, a lot of your daytime solar gets exported. With a battery, you keep more of your own power and use it in the evening—lights, cooking, laundry, and even overnight EV top-ups depending on your setup.

Battery storage retrofits are now available (even if you already have solar) – capture excess daytime solar power in a battery and use it to power your home anytime, boosting savings and independence.

Do you need to replace your inverter?

Not always. Some systems are already compatible. Others may need a small upgrade (or a different approach) depending on what you have installed. We’ll confirm this during the quote and survey.

What we’ll help you do

  • Choose the right battery size for your usage

  • Decide if you want backup power during outages (optional, but popular)

  • Set up smart scheduling so your battery works around your routine and tariffs

  • Keep everything tidy with clean install routes and clear handover docs

How it works

  1. Share a couple of photos + your rough usage (or a recent bill)

  2. We confirm compatibility and recommend options

  3. Install + commissioning + app setup

  4. You start using more of your own energy, day and night
